The MacBook fits perfectly and I’ve tried it with my Mac as well as an older 2009 13″ MacBook Pro and also a 2012″ MacBook Pro too.

The case feels far more premium than its £7.50 price tag would suggest! It is generously padded with a good finish and a quality top loading zip. I got the AmazonBasics laptop sleeve for my 13″ 2011 MacBook Pro. But they do cases in this range for everything from the iPad Air to the 15.6″ MacBook Pro. Finding a case for your new pride and joy is always a frustrating task. I usually just chuck my MacBook Pro 13″ into my rucksack – but after a few years of abuse I thought I’d take a (pretty safe) gamble on the incredibly cheap Apple cases in the AmazonBasics range.
